![]() ![]() ![]() The newly announced Club Pass will grant you access to almost every show during the last three months of 2022 at a single Live Nation venue starting at $59 plus fees (though almost all of the L.A.-area ones are $79) or $299 for a multi-venue pass that’s valid at more than 50 Live Nation-operated venues around the country. You’d think that they would’ve jumped on that opportunity to have the extra money from that extra $70/ticket that I didn’t request back and being able to sell my original tickets. The pay-and-binge model has practically taken over our digital lives, and now a new year-end pass from Live Nation is looking to do the same for our concert-going habits. They said no since they were different prices, and that it was essentially my fault since the ticket prices are like airline prices and fluctuate over time. I questioned that since I was willing to lose the $70/ticket just to do a straight swap. The catch to this though, it had to be a minimum of a week before and the tickets you were buying had to cost more than the ones you already have, plus I believe there was a transaction fee as well. I contacted ticketmaster because you can (or used to be able to) swap your tickets and pay the difference. I kept watching the tickets, and a few weeks before all the platinum and vip prices were dropped, and tickets for second row floor were $129 while ones close to mine were under $100 □. Tickets near the stage were either vip, or official platinum (mixed throughout) and insane prices. ![]() I got presale tickets 13 rows up, half of the way back in the arena for $200 each. I also had an issue when getting Shania Twain tickets a few years ago for an arena show. For the happiness begins tour, I bought tickets during presale, but come day of the show, tickets were significantly cheaper and closer to the main stage. The fact that the ticket prices can fluctuate so much is so frustrating. I agree with the platinums being a rip off! The extra available restrooms might be nice but again, it's kind of just how much you personally are wanting to spend for a convenience. I have only once gotten a lounge access (at Bridgestone in Nashville) and that was really nice because they had free food and alcoholic drinks but I'm under the impression that the lounges in this tour are cash bar only? So I'm going to pay extra to be able to sit somewhere before the show and pay for my drinks anyway? No thanks. Not worth it to me, but maybe to someone else. When usually you can get through the line within 10 minutes. It's just a way to nickel and dime you for extras like passing the line. If your venue is a pain to park at, the parking might be "worth it." I never think the other things are "worth it" to me personally. The add-ons are really your preference and based on your venue. If view is your main concern, of course 2nd row is going to be better than the back of the floor, but you will pay a premium for it. It's ridiculous and I refuse to play that game. Maybe I'm just old and remember back in the day, I was able to get 5th row for Burnin' Up for face value through Ticketmaster whereas now if you want 5th row you have to cough up at least 600 bucks per ticket. And I just completely disagree with the concept of Official Platinum because they fluctuate based on demand and will likely go down some if you wait. VIP is a ripoff because it doesn't include meet and greet this year and I really don't find the perks to be worth the money. Honestly I think the VIP and the Official Platinums are both ripoffs.
